Three leading jewellery brands set to invest at Derbion

East Midlands’ retail and leisure destination, Derbion, has revealed a series of jewellery store expansions, with leading industry names including Goldsmiths, Beaverbrooks and Ernest Jones all set to make significant investment this year.

Increasing its footprint in Derbion by 2,350 sq. ft, Beaverbrooks will undergo a full-store refurbishment and upsize this spring, including a brand-new standalone TAG Heuer watch store and an extended range of luxury brands such as Gucci, Longines, Michael Kors and Links of London.

Leading jeweller, Goldsmiths, will expand its footprint by 1,000 sq. ft later this year, with work on transforming the unit set to commence in May. The investment will introduce a completely new store design, giving customers more space to shop a wider range of leading brands such as TAG Heuer, Tudor, Tissot, Jenny Packham and Mappin & Webb.

Elsewhere in the centre, Ernest Jones is investing in its store with a refreshed design and a host of new brands including Breitling, Omega and Tudor.

The store expansions and investment follow a string of 28 new lettings at Derbion over the past 12 months, including Jack Wills, H&M Home, River Studios, Søstrene Grene, Popeyes, Burger & Sauce and new department store Frasers.

Beth McDonald, commercial director at Derbion, commented: “After such a successful year for lettings at Derbion, we’re delighted to announce that three of the leading names in retail jewellery have chosen to invest in their existing stores with us.

“We’re proud that so many of our retailers are showing such confidence in the centre, as well as Derby, by investing and expanding their stores.”
