Managing Director Of Cubo Shortlisted For Prestigious Award

Marc Brough, CEO of flex office provider Cubo, has been named as a regional finalist in the world’s most prestigious entrepreneur awards.

Marc, who founded Cubo with wife Rebecca in 2020, has been chosen as a Midlands & South West finalist for EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ 2023 UK.

The global programme, which is run by Ernst & Young, highlights entrepreneurial achievement and companies that demonstrate vision, leadership, and success.

Established more than 30 years ago, the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ programme currently operates in more than 60 countries and 145 cities around the world.

UK finalists will be announced in September, with an awards ceremony to be held in November.

Cubo currently operates flex offices in Derby, Nottingham, Sheffield, Leeds, and Birmingham. Earlier this year, plans were set out to open four new workspaces by the end of Q2 2023.

A new site in Edinburgh and a second site in Nottingham have just been unveiled, with a new site in Manchester and a second Birmingham workspace set to be announced shortly.

Cubo is transforming the traditional serviced office model to provide an experience-led lifestyle offer to meet the changing needs of businesses – from hot desking to a designated desk, private office, or entire floor.

Member benefits include large communal spaces, private areas, break-out spaces, kitchens, an inclusive barista service with beer and fizz on tap, along with a programme of free networking events.

As a result, Cubo is rapidly becoming the location of choice for SMEs, tech companies and corporates looking for a world class environment where they can develop and thrive and is attracting an enticing mix of businesses.

Speaking about the nomination, Marc Brough, said:

“To be named as a regional finalist in this year's EY Entrepreneur Of The Year™ programme alongside some of the most high profile entrepreneurs in the region is hugely gratifying and reflects Cubo’s growing reputation in the flex office sector.

“Thanks go out to my fantastic team – I couldn’t have done this without their continued support.

“This is only the start for Cubo - we have ambitious plans for more new workspaces in exciting locations, with representation in all leading provincial centres planned by 2025 and plans to take the brand internationally.”
