Hat Trick Success for Salloway

Leading East Midlands commercial property agency Salloway Property Consultants, announces that three surveyors from the Derby office, recently passed the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors’ Assessment of Professional Competence.

Following two years of dedication and preparation, Chris Keogh, Hugo Beresford, and William Speed have successfully completed the APC qualification process and are now fully qualified Chartered Surveyors and Professional Members of the RICS (MRICS).

The three follow in the success of Managing Director Stephen Salloway who is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors with over 45 years' experience in a variety of professional disciplines within the field of commercial and residential land and property.

The company believe that the Derby office is unique, as it now has four qualified Chartered Surveyors which further strengthens their position as a leading commercial property agency. Salloway Property Consultants is an independent firm of Chartered Surveyors with in-depth knowledge and experience of the commercial property market.

Chris Keogh MRICS, first joined Salloway in 2013 and has since become an Associate Director and scooped the Estates Gazette Award for Most Active Dealmaker in Derbyshire. Chris commented on his recent success; “I am delighted to finally hold the recognition and status of Chartered Surveyor. My colleagues and I cannot express enough gratitude to Steve, who has been a key influence over each of our careers and has been a driving force throughout the APC process. From a business perspective, I firmly believe that this puts Salloway in an even stronger position, given that we now boast a full team of qualified Chartered Surveyors operating from the Derby office”.

Hugo Beresford MRICS, joined the team in 2016 after spending time at the company while he was studying at Nottingham Trent University; “It is a true honour and a privilege to have qualified as a Professional Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and I am extremely grateful for all of the help and support that I received throughout the process from both my colleagues within the Salloway team and also my friends and family outside of work”.

William Speed MRICS graduated from Oxford Brookes University in 2019 and has become a valuable member of the team through his drive and enthusiasm; “Becoming a Chartered Surveyor was always the pinnacle since starting my RICS accredited degree at university and to be able now to say that I am a Chartered Surveyor the sense of achievement and pride is unparalleled. Achieving the MRICS title brings with it a considerable amount of respect and admiration in the industry which I am looking forward to making the most of. Now with a total of four Chartered Surveyors, including Steve’s unmatched experience, Salloway Property Consultants can truly provide the best and most well-rounded service for our clients new and existing in all aspects of commercial property.

Stephen Salloway FRICS added; “It was clear to me that Chris, Hugo, and Will had the qualities and skills to become Chartered Surveyors but just needed a little encouragement to commit to the formal qualification process.  So, we discussed a way forward and agreed upon a programme which would work for everyone.  I am hugely impressed with the effort they put into maintaining the high levels of client service their regular caseload demanded while finding the significant extra time needed to devote to their courses. I am delighted that their efforts and teamwork have been rewarded through qualification. Three new Chartered Surveyors will take our professional services to new heights.”

Salloway has had a great year sealing several retail, industrial and office deals across the region. They form long relationships with many of their public sector and private clients and boast dynamic, cost-effective results.
