Stoughton Park nears halfway mark as 40 per cent of homes now built

More than 40 per cent of properties have now been built at Bellway’s Stoughton Park development in Oadby, one year on from the first residents moving into their new homes there.

When complete, the scheme off Gartree Road will comprise 221 new homes, with a total of 92 properties constructed to date.

The development will deliver 146 two, three, four and five-bedroom homes for private sale, with 64 of these already sold. Of these properties, 57 have been built, with 43 occupied by their new owners.

The development also includes 75 affordable homes for rent or shared ownership and 35 of these are now built and 21 handed over to residents.

Sales Manager for Bellway East Midlands, Kenny Lattimore, said: “It’s really positive to see how far we have come in the year since the first residents moved in at Stoughton Park.

“We knew this development would be popular from the start with 1,800 people registering their interest before we launched – and that has proved to be the case. The community is growing and becoming a thriving neighbourhood.

“We have attracted a diverse clientele here and that’s because of the development’s excellent location in a sought-after and affluent area, plus the wide range of property styles here.

“We have 29 different house designs at this development and that means that there is a fantastic home for everyone, no matter what life stage they are at, whether they are looking for their first property, climbing the property ladder seeking something bigger than before, or downsizing.”

Bellway’s Stoughton Park development is part of a wider 310-home project. The other 89 homes are being built by Ashberry Homes, which is part of Bellway Group, at the neighbouring Horwood Gardens development.

Work started on Stoughton Park in the autumn of 2020. There are currently two to five-bedroom houses for sale with prices starting from £269,950.

Two showhomes are available to view at the development – the four-bedroom Weaver and three-bedroom Lacemaker designs – giving potential purchasers the chance to get a sense of the spacious layout of typical Bellway properties.
