The return of Building Buddies marks the start of summer at Derbion

Following its popularity in 2022, Derbion has announced the return of Building Buddies, an exciting and interactive event that invites children to explore, collaborate, create and learn through building-themed role play.

From Monday 24 July – Sunday 27 August, the much-loved interactive play experience will return and once again offer children the opportunity to play and grow through hands-on activities such as planning, decorating, tiling, gardening, building and so much more – offering ideal summer holiday fun come rain or shine.

Complete with mini hard hats and high-vis jackets, children can uncover new skills and push the boundaries of their logical thinking through the interactive discovery play on offer at Building Buddies.

What’s more, following customer feedback from the event’s inaugural year in 2022, families can enjoy even more hands-on fun at Building Buddies this year as sessions have been extended from 30 to 45 minutes. Plus, tickets for this year’s event will be priced at just £3.50 per child.

Running throughout the summer holidays, sessions take place from 9:30am to 3:30pm Monday to Saturday, and 10:30am to 3:30pm on Sunday, meaning there’s plenty of opportunities to get involved. Sessions can be booked online via the Derbion website:

Elsewhere in the centre, families can enjoy activities including bowling at Hollywood Bowl, mini golf at Paradise Island Adventure Golf, as well as catching the latest film releases at Showcase Cinema de Lux, throughout the holidays. What’s more, families can complete their day with a bite to eat at Derbion’s refreshed Food Terrace, which includes new brands such as Popeyes, Burger & Sauce and Tortilla.

Beth McDonald, Managing Director of Derbion said: “We’re thrilled to announce that the much-loved Building Buddies event will return to Derbion this summer. Following its success in 2022, we’re so pleased to be bringing the event back with longer sessions, and at a lower price point, so even more children can enjoy throughout the summer holidays.”
