Glamping dome supplier, TruDomes, welcomed a special guest to its head office in Nuneaton when Rt Hon Mr Marcus Jones MP visited to view the company’s new show domes and get the story behind its success as one of the fastest-growing manufacturers in the Midlands.
The MP for Nuneaton took a tour of the three show domes and the factory owned by parent company, JDR Products Ltd, where TruDomes’ market-leading geodesic domes are manufactured and exported worldwide. Formed in 2017, TruDomes has expanded its business supplying glamping sites and events companies throughout the UK and Europe. The company launched a Utah-based North American operation in 2022 and recently signed a distribution agreement with Glamping Japan to establish a new sales network in East Asia.
Rt Hon Mr Marcus Jones MP said:
“I was very impressed with a visit to TruDomes and JDR Products Ltd. Both are important as a growing manufacturing business and employer located on the Whitacre Road Industrial Estate.
“TruDomes is clearly making a name for itself and attracting attention to its innovative manufacturing glamping domes and recognised internationally. Its innovative products are being used for glamping, dining, events, and weddings. I look forward to watching its progress and continuing contribution to Nuneaton and our local area.”
TruDomes CEO, Kelda Bassett, said:
“It was a pleasure to welcome Rt Hon Mr Marcus Jones MP to our head office and it was encouraging to see our local MP show an interest in our business. We have opened the show domes to illustrate the design and manufacturing quality that characterises our products. TruDomes now competes on a global basis and we believe that the big point of difference that sets us apart is our investment in superior materials like our aircraft-grade aluminium frames. That investment gives us an edge over competitors which use low-cost components to the detriment of durability.”
