Bentley expands ranks with trio of exciting new hires

A TRIO OF EXCTING NEW HIRES AT BENTLEY

EAST Midlands-based project management consultancy, Bentley, has welcomed three new additions to its ever-growing team.

The business growth move, which has seen the arrival of Rick Waite as executive project manager, Owen Goodson Toon in an apprentice quantity surveyor role and Miles Burney as graduate project manager, indicates an exciting time at the consultancy, which has gone from strength to strength since launching a decade ago.

Jonathon Bentley, managing director at Bentley, said: “This year marks an important milestone for us as we celebrate 10 years in business and look ahead to the future and our evolution as a firm. A key part of this is investing in our team and in bringing in Rick, Owen and Miles we take our employee number past the 40-person mark, which we’re really pleased about.

“Although it’s only been a short time since they joined, I’ve been impressed by both their knowledge and appetite to perform and I’m more than confident they’ll be great additions to Bentley. We’re really looking forward to them embedding within the team, meeting our brilliant clients and watching them grow in their respective roles, in what is a hugely exciting time for the business.”

Rick added: I’m so pleased to have taken the next step in my career and joined such a well-respected consultancy. Since joining I’ve been hugely inspired by the whole team, who are not only experts in the industry, but great people too! I’m very much excited for what the future holds and will be drawing on my experience to bring more success to Bentley.”

Rick has a variety of civil engineering experience, most recently across various environment agency projects, including large civil engineering earthworks, drainage and piling projects. He has a higher national diploma in civil engineering and over 15 years’ experience in the sector. He will be working on critical, large scale infrastructure projects in both pre and post contract.

Owen has previously worked as a labourer on a building site and is now keen to progress a career in quantity surveying. He holds an extended diploma in engineering which helped him be eligible for a place on the five-year Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship, where he’ll study for his degree part time with Nottingham Trent University.

Miles is a graduate from the same university with a degree in property finance and investment. He has a varied work experience but has career aspirations in project management within the construction sector. Miles will be providing support on a mixture of projects across infrastructure and commercial, including pre and post contract so that he gets a rounded experience of the complete project lifecycle.

Bentley specialises in project, development and cost management, delivering large scale strategic, residential and commercial schemes for both the public and private sectors.

The company has a deep understanding of how to deliver projects on time, within budget and to a high standard, as well as knowing how to position projects to secure funding.
