The Head & Neck Cancer Foundation announces a carol concert in the heart of the Midlands to kick off the festive celebrations. The charity will be hosting a night of entertainment on Tuesday 5th December at The Chocolate Factory, an exciting new industrial-style event venue in the centre of Derby.

The concert will include carols and performances from the local choir Sing For Your Supper and singers Amber-Jo Lilly and Reed Price.

Tickets are available to purchase at an early bird discount rate for £13.00, until the 20th of November. Afterwards, they will be £15.00 each. Those wishing to attend the event can buy tickets directly from the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation website.

Michelle Vickers, CEO of the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation says: “We are delighted to be expanding the reach of our festive fundraising events across the UK thanks to a fabulous team of volunteers. We receive no statutory funding so rely solely on the kind-hearted donations of our supporters. Being able to run events in new areas of the country allows us to reach more supporters who previously were not able to attend our events. We also want to give a special thanks to Laura Marston for organising our Derbyconcert.”

Laura Marston is organising the concert to raise funds to improve outcomes for head and neck cancer patients. She decided to volunteer following her own journey with cancer. Laura says: “Four years ago, I had stage four tongue cancer and wasn't sure if I would ever spend another Christmas with my family. I'm very happy to say that due to charities like the Head & Neck Cancer Foundation, which invests in research and clinical trials - one of which I was part of - I am here today.  This is why I want to give back by hosting this event.”
