2,000 jobs to be created as retail giant plans £500m fulfilment centre

Online retail giant Amazon has revealed plans to construct a new multimillion-pound facility in Northampton, creating over 2,000 jobs.

The £500m fulfilment centre in the East Midlands town is anticipated to start taking customer orders by 2026.

Initially, the development is poised to generate 1,400 new jobs, with expectations of surpassing 2,000 roles within three years of operation.

There will be job opportunities in various sectors, including engineering, human resources, information technology, health and safety, and finance, as well as positions for order picking, packing and shipping.
