Rothera Bray, a prominent law firm based in the East Midlands, has recently acted on behalf of the selling shareholders in the successful £10 million sale of Aluminium Roofline Products Limited to The Alumasc Group PLC.
The transaction, recognised for its exceptional merit, clinched the prestigious Deal of the Year award in the up to £10m category at the 2024 East Midlands Dealmakers Awards.
The sale of ARP, a distinguished Leicester-based manufacturer and distributor specialising in metal rainwater and architectural aluminium goods to Alumasc was formally announced on a conditional basis in July 2023. Following the announcement, the Competition and Markets Authority conducted an investigation into the acquisition plans and after thorough scrutiny, the authority granted unconditional clearance for the acquisition, which completed successfully in December 2023.
A consortium of notable local professionals played integral roles in assisting the sellers in this landmark deal; along with Rothera Bray they were Breeze Corporate Finance, Somerbys Chartered Accountants and Torr Waterfield Chartered Accountants.
Commenting on the transaction, Tim Gladdle, Senior Partner and Joint Head of Corporate and Commercial at Rothera Bray, said: “ARP and their shareholders were longstanding clients of the firm and this was another major deal where we advised and which has once more attracted recognition and publicity highlighting the strength of our corporate team and our offering to the corporate market.”
