Derbyshire County Council’s former adult community education centre in New Mills will be auctioned this month with a guide price of £235,000.

The historic two-story, 15,000 sq ft building, located on a one-acre site, was previously home to the High Peak Community Arts organisation.

Constructed in 1891, the stone property was originally built by local philanthropists and business owners, the Mackie Family, as the Mackie Memorial Library.
