Developer says North West industrial property market remains strong as it plans Wigan logistics base

A Midlands developer is planning to build a logistics hub in Wigan and says there is strong demand for new industrial accommodation in the North West.

Trebor Developments has completed an off-market deal to purchase a 7.30 acre site at Martland Park, Wigan. Outline planning permission was granted in March 2023 to redevelop the site, and Trebor has now submitted a reserved matters application.

If approved, Bromsgrove-based Trebor will develop a 101,805 sq ft logistics unit on a speculative basis. It plans to call the scheme Wigan 100 and build it to an EPC rating of A, targeting BREEAM Excellent status.
