The parent company of developer Igloo Regeneration has announced plans to open a new academy in Derby to address a “significant” skills shortage in the real estate sector.
Places for People Group is set to open the academy on Pride Park next year – with expressions of interest currently being welcomed.
The new academy, which would be located in Centro Place, will focus on two key areas – apprenticeships and vocational training.
Academy director Tom Arey said: “The real estate sector is facing a significant skills shortage, particularly in trades roles essential to all forms of housing across the UK.
“Now, more than ever, we need to invest in quality, relevant training for our workforce.
