A new shared living residential scheme in Birmingham has received the green light from city planners.

Called Bradford Works, it will see the conversion of an existing building in Barr Street in the Jewellery Quarter.

The project will contain 54 self-contained ‘micro-apartments' with communal spaces including lounges, kitchens, dining areas, workspaces, wellness studio and roof terrace.

It will be aimed at young professionals, post-graduate students and freelancers as well as foster a community feel not usually associated with traditional apartment developments.
