Two vaccination clinics will be held at Corby Foodbank, based at St Peter & St Andrew’s Church on Beanfield Avenue, during November and December.
The clinics are open to anyone who is eligible for Covid, Flu, MMR, RSV and whooping cough vaccinations.
Covid and flu vaccinations will be available for the over 65s or those who are immunosuppressed, while the MMR is available to all. The whooping cough vaccination is suitable for pregnant women and children up to age 9, while pregnant women and the over 75-79s will be eligible for the RSV vaccination.
Blood pressure checks for the over 40s will also be available.
The first mobile clinic will take place on Monday 4th November from 10am-4pm, with the second to be held on Friday 13th December from 10am-4pm.
There is no need to book an appointment for either clinic, with people encouraged to turn up on either of the designated days.
“Although our role here at the foodbank is to primarily provide three-day emergency, non-perishable food parcels to local people in food crisis, we feel it’s important to help the local community in any way that we can,” said Martin Langford, manager at Corby Foodbank.
“The vaccination clinics will give those in the area access to a range of vaccinations, dependent on their needs.”
