The latest development from award-winning housebuilder, Owl Homes has been officially opened by local schoolchildren and the Parish Council Chair.
15 pupils from Burton on the Wolds Primary School were joined by Cllr. Robert Shields, Chair of Burton on the Wolds Parish Council to cut the ribbon at Waltonbrook, which sits on the southern edge of the Leicestershire village.
Comprising a collection of 66 family homes, Waltonbrook is the newest development by Owl Homes. As part of the ribbon cutting ceremony, Cllr. Shields, the schoolchildren and their headteacher, Claire Wilson, were given a tour of the showhome, which has been elegantly styled with a warm Scandi design by Edward Thomas Interiors.
Burton on the Wolds Primary School’s headteacher, Claire Wilson said: “The children had a fantastic time at the Waltonbrook launch, where they were able to learn about how new homes are built, designed and sold. A highlight was touring the showhome, where their favourite room was the Minecraft themed bedroom! They were also delighted to be given goody bags by the Owl Homes team, which was a thoughtful keepsake to remember the day.”

Featuring a mix of 1-5 bedroom house types, Waltonbrook is deliberately designed to appeal to a wide range of house hunters, from first-time buyers to those looking to downsize. Aspiring househunters were able to visit the Larkspur showhome and sales centre for the first time this past weekend (8-9 November).
“Our launch weekend was a huge success, with demand surpassing all expectations,” explains Owl Homes’ sales manager, Grace Potts. “All reservation appointments were fully booked and we were inundated with further enquiries throughout the weekend. Househunters loved seeing the expertly designed showhome, meeting the team and enjoying complimentary coffee and cakes from The Peaky Grinder.
