Mickleover FC’s home ground to become the Vibrant Doors Arena as a new three-year partnership supports grassroots football, community events and future club development.
Mickleover Football Club have officially announced a new long-term stadium sponsorship with Derby-based door specialist Vibrant Doors, marking the beginning of an exciting new chapter for the club and the local community it serves.
As part of the three-year agreement, Mickleover FC’s home ground will become the Vibrant Doors Arena, reflecting a shared commitment to supporting grassroots and non-league football, strengthening local community facilities and investing in the future of the club both on and off the pitch.
More Than a Name
While the partnership includes naming rights for the ground, the agreement represents much more than a change of signage. For both Mickleover FC and Vibrant Doors, it is rooted in a belief that local sport has the power to bring people together, create opportunities and give communities something to feel genuinely proud of.
The investment boost will help Mickleover FC continue improving its facilities and support its wider ambitions across infrastructure, community initiatives, youth development and matchday experience. The club hopes the partnership will make the ground an even more welcoming place for supporters, volunteers, visiting teams and local families alike.

The ground already plays an important role in the wider Derbyshire sporting community. As well as being home to Mickleover FC, it is also the home ground of Derby County Women, who play in the FA Women’s National League Northern Premier Division and have used the facility for a number of years.
The club maintains close links with Derby County, with former Mickleover FC Chairman Don Amott previously part of the ownership group at Derby County. Derby County Community Trust also runs an education and football programme at the ground, further strengthening the site’s role as a hub for local sport, learning and community activity.
A Community Space Beyond Football
Beyond FA football, the facility is also used by charities, children’s football teams and local community groups. It is also home to Mickleover Padel, with four new padel courts recently added to the site.
The ground hosts major community events throughout the year, including its popular Fireworks Night, which attracts more than 3,000 people and Hot August Night, an all-Sunday-afternoon tribute festival that brings families, friends and local residents together.
For Vibrant Doors, the partnership is a chance to support a club and facility that already means a great deal to the local area. The company, which has built a strong reputation as one of the UK’s leading online door retailers, has close ties to Derby and Mickleover, with Managing Director John Shaw having lived in the town for more than 25 years.

Fans can expect Vibrant Doors to become an active presence at the club, with the partnership creating opportunities for community engagement beyond matchdays. This will hopefully include pop-up events, supporter offers, volunteer initiatives as well as student work placement opportunities in collaboration with the University of Derby, all of which are designed to bring the club closer to local residents while supporting the long-term growth.
The new Vibrant Doors Arena name marks the start of a fresh era for Mickleover FC, but the focus remains firmly on the people who make the club what it is, the players, supporters, volunteers, families, community groups and young people who use and support the ground week after week.
The partnership celebrates local success, local business and local sport, while helping to make sure Mickleover FC continues to grow as a welcoming, ambitious and community-focused club for years to come.
