Excellence in customer service award to Toyota’s top UK retailers: Ron Brooks Toyota Ilkeston

The Toyota centre: Ron Brooks Toyota in Ilkeston has won an Ichiban Award for excellence in customer service, selected from among 2,500 of the brand’s retailers across Europe in the category Best Medium Retailer.

The award is a fitting tribute to a business that is marking its 50th year with Toyota in 2022, still operating from its original site. Today it employs around 50 people, providing new and approved used vehicle sales and servicing and repairs. It also has a Toyota-approved body shop.

Mike Lane, Group Operations Director for Ron Brooks Toyota Ilkeston, said: “We are extremely proud of all our colleagues who work hard to deliver a consistent and exceptional customer experience. It’s especially pleasing to win this award for a second time and to do so thanks to the work of both long-standing and new members of staff during challenges and uncertainty of the pandemic.”

The Ichiban awards take their name from a Japanese word for “number one” and winners of the award are those retailers who excelled in delivering the highest level of Toyota’s “Customer First” mindset.
