Leicestershire housebuilder Barratt Homes is set to contribute more than £50,000 towards local infrastructure and public services as part of the planning agreement for a brand-new housing development in Melton Mowbray.
The 233-home development named King’s Meadow, which is set to launch on Saturday 9th July, will consist of a mix of two, three and four bedroom homes upon completion; 15% of which are affordable properties.
As part of the agreement for the new development, Barratt Homes will contribute a total of £51,756.29 to Melton Mowbray. Among the contributions are over £25,000 towards education in the area, in addition to more than £19,000 towards civic amenities and over £7,000 towards library facilities.

“As well as direct funding as part of our planning agreement for the new homes, the development will also deliver additional benefits to local economy through job creation, and provide greater support to local businesses from new residents moving into the new properties.”
The sales centre is being unveiled at the development on Kirby Lane as part of an official launch taking place on Saturday 9th July.
