New Centre Manager At Cubo Birmingham

Leading flex office provider Cubo has appointed Becky Thorn as centre manager at its new 24,000 sq. ft facility at Two Chamberlain Square in Paradise Birmingham.

Becky has a vast amount of experience in the customer service and operations sectors, spending nine years with InterContinental Hotels Group and seven years in the student accommodation industry.

In her new role, Becky will be responsible for managing all building operations and ensuring processes are running smoothly. She will also handle building management issues, including any maintenance or updates required in the building and will also implement fire and emergency plans.

She will also reinforce Cubo’s core values and create a collaborative environment amongst its members.

Cubo was founded in 2020 by property investors Marc and Rebecca Brough and is rapidly establishing itself as the leading provider of high-end flex office and co-working space in the Midlands and Yorkshire with a presence in Derby, Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield, and Birmingham.

The company is revolutionising the traditional serviced office model to enable increasingly intuitive ways of working. It provides an experience-led lifestyle offer to meet the changing needs of businesses – from hot desking to a designated desk, private office, or entire floor.

Member benefits include meeting rooms, networking events, private booths, chill-out areas, and a free barista service.

As a result, Cubo is rapidly becoming the location of choice for SMEs, tech companies and corporates looking for a world class environment where they can develop and is attracting an enticing mix of businesses.

Commenting on joining the Cubo management team, Becky said:

“Cubo is rapidly becoming the market leader in the managed workspace sector in the regions, so I am delighted to have been appointed to manage the new Birmingham operation.

“My experience in operations management and customer service, along with my passion for the city, mean we have a solid foundation here and I can’t wait to make sure all members have a positive experience and enjoying their time at Cubo.”

Marc Brough, Managing Director at Cubo, added:

“We’re pleased to welcome Becky to the management team at Cubo Birmingham. Her experience in operations and customer service is a perfect fit for Cubo and we look forward to working with her to realise the full potential of this fantastic space at the heart of Paradise Birmingham.”

There has already been a huge amount of interest in Cubo Birmingham. Business advisory and accountancy firm Cooper Parry recently took a 50-desk space and have been followed by a diverse range of other growing businesses. A number of other deals are currently being concluded, and more new tenants are set to be announced shortly.

At almost two million square feet, Paradise Birmingham will feature up to ten new flagship buildings, with offices, shops, bars, cafés, restaurants, a high-quality hotel and Octagon, the world-first 49 storey pure octagonal residential tower, across 17 acres in the heart of the city.

Two Chamberlain Square provides some of the best views in Birmingham with stunning vistas across Chamberlain Square itself and of the city’s impressive Classical and Victorian civic architecture.
