Enabling works have begun on the first phase of a new £700 million redevelopment programme at a university.

O'Brien Contractors has started the work on what will become a new science and engineering facility at University of Warwick.

It will have learning and research facilities alongside space for collaboration, public engagement and socialising.

Once finalised, the facility will also become home to the university's department of chemistry and physics and school of engineering.

O'Brien Contractors is carrying out infrastructure work to support the wider project including the construction of building platforms, erection of retaining walls and new car parking facilities for staff and students.
